Introduction


We are currently looking for a HR Information Systems (HRIS) Assistant to join our Human Resources team here at DB Cargo UK’s headquarters based in Doncaster. The position is on a 12 month fixed term basis. The position does offers hybrid working flexibility.


The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for all incoming day to day HRIS matters, triaging, problem solving and working on a variety of HR system related issues. Liaising and actively engaging with our international HRIT support functions as required. Supporting and leading on systems functionality changes, implementation, and development aspects.


What will you be doing?


Here is a list of day to day responsibilities the successful candidate will have to action:


To support the HRIS Manager with the implementation of all HRIT systems, taking a lead role on delegated project workstreams or functional requirements.


To build and maintain a working knowledge of all HR systems and their interfaces to include (but not limited to) Workday, ADP, SharePoint.


To be the primary contact within the HR team for all HR system issues, triaging, problem solving or escalating to the HRIS Manager as appropriate.


To log, manage and take ownership of all system development requirements, proposing innovate solutions to problems and making recommendations for future improvements where possible.


To actively engage with external and third party organisations, on all HRIS matters which support the ongoing management of systems and their user, including DB Cargo AG.


To pro-actively promote the integrity and accuracy of data within HR systems and for ensuring that those systems are designed and configured to support this requirement.


To be the main point of contact for all regular and ad hoc data reporting requirements, as appropriate.


Deliver appropriate planned or unplanned training interventions on HR systems to ensure that they are effectively deployed across the business and user experience is enhanced.


Deputise for the HRIS Manager as appropriate.


What are we looking for?


We are looking for a candidate who has excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with all levels of the business and third parties. Able to identify problems and look for workable solutions.


Some experience of working in HR/HRIS would be advantageous, as well as working on HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP and Avature. We are also looking for someone with good analytical skills and have an intermediate/advanced level of understanding of analytical applications such as Excel or Power BI.


Due to the nature of the position the successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and an understanding of Data protection principles.

The salary for this position starts at £28,093 rising to £29,499 subject to satisfactory probation/competence in the role, as well as 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
